ABOUT US.

Founded in 2007 by Dr.-Ing. Rodrigo Azcueta, Cape Horn Engineering began its journey as an independent Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) consultancy in Spain. With a deep-rooted passion for high-performance naval design and engineering, the company quickly established itself as a leader in CFD solutions for the marine and renewable energy sectors.

In 2013, the company relocated its headquarters to Portsmouth, United Kingdom — a city rich in maritime heritage and innovation. From this strategic base, Cape Horn Engineering has continued to deliver cutting-edge CFD consultancy to an international clientele, including some of the world’s most demanding marine and offshore projects.

Cape Horn Engineering’s legacy is built on decades of elite-level CFD experience, with involvement in multiple America’s Cup campaigns and three consecutive Volvo Ocean Race victories. This racing pedigree laid the foundation for the firm’s reputation for precision, innovation, and engineering excellence.
